Spearheaded by China Three Gorges Renewables Group, a subsidiary of the nation’s largest hydropower company, this ambitious project will establish an expansive energy base in Inner Mongolia.

The facility, boasting a total capacity of 16 gigawatts, will harness the combined potential of solar, wind, and coal energy sources, complemented by a substantial 5 gigawatt storage facility, as reported by Bloomberg.

With a vision to significantly enhance its renewable energy infrastructure by 2030, China aims to develop a staggering 455 gigawatts of renewable energy projects, predominantly situated in desert regions such as Inner Mongolia.
