The Billionaire Men Who Save Money More Than You Think

Millionaire CEOs

Six of the top Billionaire men who save money they earn in their daily life. Oscar Wilde once said, “When I was young, I thought money was the most important thing in the world. I know it’s true today.” But not every billionaire man thinks the same way. Over the years, many of them have built up huge fortunes, but in their private lives, they tend to be cheap. They live in small houses, eat at fast food places, and don’t have fancy cars.

Here are six billionaire men who save money more than we think despite having a lot of money. They still like to keep a low profile.

Mark Zuckerberg

Because he made Facebook and bought Instagram, WhatsApp, and other companies, his wealth is estimated to be around $71.5 billion. So, Meta’s CEO doesn’t drive a Porsche. For years, he toured California in a $31,500 VW Golf GTI, but more and more often, he’s been seen driving a Honda Fit, which is even cheaper.

Sometimes Mark Zuckerberg eats sometimes at McDonald’s. He, too, likes to wear T-shirts and jeans instead of expensive suits. The founder doesn’t need a huge luxury villa either. When he bought his Palo Alto home in 2011, it cost him “only” $7 million. Compared to the prices of the homes of some Hollywood stars, this price is very low.

But even Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t have everything he wants. Some news sources say that he has finally fallen for a super sports car. He is said to have a Pagani Huayra in his garage that is worth $1.5 million. You have to have some fun.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft) is a businessman who has made a lot of money. Bill Gates doesn’t wear diamond Rolex watches every day. After all, a $10 wristwatch can also tell the time. The founder of Microsoft is one of the richest people in the world. His estimated wealth is $125 billion, but he gives away most of it to charity and does his own dishes instead of paying someone else to do them.

In other ways, too, the billionaire doesn’t put much stock in material things: “I don’t like to spend a lot of money on clothes or jewelry.” But Bill Gates’ children should also learn to be humble, since they will only get a “small part” of their father’s billions.

Warren Buffet

Warren Buffet is the biggest investor in Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffet is known for living a very simple life. He is one of the world’s richest people, with an estimated wealth of over $111 billion, but he still lives in the house he bought in 1958 for just over $30,000, according to reports. Buffett once told CNBC about his small home, “I wouldn’t trade it for anything.” Also, the great investor known as the “Oracle of Omaha” still eats breakfast for two or three dollars at McDonald’s. Every morning, his wife gives him the money.

Karl Albrecht and Theo (founders of Aldi)

Karl and Theo Albrecht made a lot of money with the Aldi supermarket chain, but they didn’t talk about it much, in part to keep their privacy. They saved money in business and in their personal lives whenever they could.

People say that even top management meetings were held in the dark to use as little electricity as possible and save money. Aldi has done very well in the last few years because of its low prices. It has become one of the biggest discounters in the world. So, it’s still doing well, even though the founders are dead. The founders’ heirs got multimillion-dollar sums, and the Aldi empire has almost no debts.

Amancio Ortega (founder of Zara)

Amancio Ortega has a fortune of about 58,000,000,000 USD, most of which comes from his Zara empire. He lives in a small apartment building by himself. Every day, he eats lunch with his employees in the company canteen and drinks coffee at a local coffee shop. Even though the businessman has a very expensive private jet, he doesn’t use it very often.

Ingvar Kamprad (IKEA founder)

IKEA’s founder, Ingvar Kamprad, hasn’t lost his mind because of his company’s success either. One of the wealthiest people in Europe, who is thought to be worth CHF37 billion, always sits in economy class on flights instead of taking his own plane. When he’s not taking the bus, he drives an old Volvo. Like Amancio Ortega, he eats in the company canteen. Also, he moved back to his old one-story house in 2013 because he didn’t need a Porsche or a luxury villa.
