Argentina will try to avoid the same result as the last time they played Croatia. The last time Argentina played Croatia, they had more possession of the ball, but they didn’t do much with it. This is something they can’t do in 2022. Back at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, they lost to Croatia by a score of 3-0 in the group stage. This meant that they ended up in second place in Group D. Because of this, Argentina had to play France in the Round of 16, and they lost. Croatia, on the other hand, had an easier path to the final, and they won.

Argentina vs Croatia Lineup

In the quarterfinals, when they played the Netherlands, Argentina had eight corners. On the other hand, Croatia only got three corners in their 120-minute quarterfinal match.
Angel Di Maria’s health will be Argentina’s main worry going into this game. The 34-year-old winger was only used as a last-second sub against the Netherlands because he was still trying to heal from a muscle injury he got at the end of the Round of 16 matches against Australia. Rodrigo de Paul’s health was a worry before the game against the Netherlands, but he was able to play.

Croatia has no major injuries to worry about going into this game. Mateo Kovacic worried people before the quarterfinal game because he hurt his face during gym practice, but he was healthy enough to play. Nikola Vlasic hurt his muscle during the group stage, but he is now fine, and Marcelo Brozovic, who had a hamstring injury before the tournament, is now a key part of Croatia’s midfield. Argentine players Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel got yellow cards during their team’s win over the Netherlands, which kept them out of the semi-finals. No players for Croatia have been suspended.
