Reports indicate that the difference in features offered by the basic and Pro editions of the iPhone 15 series may become even more pronounced. According to a document that MacRumors got regarding the design of the antenna for the iPhone 15 that was obtained through a leak, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may come with connectivity for WiFi 6E, while the more cheap siblings may offer the same connectivity for WiFi 6.

WiFi 6E is a more recent technology that is becoming increasingly used. Routers that support Wi-Fi 6E will have the 6GHz band in addition to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels. Both the router and the device need to support WiFi 6E in order to use the 6GHz band.

“The paper, which shows diagrams of the iPhone 15’s antenna architecture, was sourced by researcher and Apple leaker Unknownz21 (@UReditor), according to UReditor. According to the claim, “D8x” refers to the iPhone 15 Pro models, and the information suggests that the speedier Wi-Fi 6E specification will be confined to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 is referred to in the text as model D3y. The anonymous source revealed to MacRumors that the diagram that was stolen is “only the top of the iceberg.” There is a good chance that further information regarding the iPhone 15 series will become public, including full photos, before the month of March, when the iPhone 15 models are expected to move into the EVT (engineering validation test) stage.

The paper also stated that the A16 Bionic CPU from the previous year will be used to power the basic iPhone 15 models, while the A17 chipset will be used in the Pro and Pro Max varieties of the iPhone 15.

It has been whispered that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would come in at a lower price point than their forerunners, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This is according to the rumor mill. A source named yeux1122 claims that the corporation based in Cupertino is considering two different approaches to ensure the success of the subsequent iPhone Plus model.

The first possibility is that the corporation will increase the gap in quality between the Pro versions and the other models. It is anticipated that Apple would encourage customers who are price sensitive and are interested in purchasing a large-screen phone to go for the iPhone 15 Plus. He continues by saying that the second method will be to reduce the price of the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus.
