Akshay Kumar Hospitalized, 45 Crew of Ram Setu Test Covid-19 Positive
Some 45 crew members working on Bollywood film Ram Setu tested Covid-19 positive, Indian media report. Forty junior artistes and five people from Akshay Kumar’s team have been infected with Coronavirus.
They all have been quarantined after they tested positive while Akshay Kumar on Monday was hospitalised with the virus. Of them, 40 were junior artistes while the rest were Akshay’s make up team and their assistants. So the shooting of Ram Setu halted for an indefinite period.
Akshay Kumar recently began filming the new film Ram Setu. But on Monday morning, he announced on social media that he was hospitalised as a “precautionary measure.” The 53-year-old Bollywood star shared a statement on Sunday. Akshay revealed that he had caught the Coronavirus.

“I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal who are co-stars of new movie Mr. Lele announced that they had also tested positive for Covid-19.
