Pathaan took over Baahubali 2 as the highest-grossing Hindi language film at the box office. Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan were both very happy to have done it.
Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was released on January 25. The movie received a tremendous audience response. And, even 38 days after its premiere, it continues to draw audiences to theaters. Several profitable offers from the film’s production team, such as reduced ticket pricing and a buy one get one free promotion, are also increasing the number of return spectators. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the picture earned Rs 1.20 cr (early estimates) on its sixth Friday in theaters. This brought the film’s total box office earnings in India to Rs 528.89 cr.
Yash Raj Productions participated in the film’s total earnings. Pathaan has grossed Rs 1026 crore worldwide, with Rs 640 crore coming from India and Rs 386 crore from abroad. On social media, Gauri Khan, the wife of Shah Rukh Khan, praised the box office success of the film by writing, “Record-breaking streak… #Pathaan.”

Pathaan is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. The Conclusion, which previously held the record with Rs 510.99 crore. He tweeted, “Crossed the lifetime collections of Baahubali 2 in Hindi. It happy Moment For Me… Once again, thanks to everyone who supported the film. #Pathaan.”
Pathaan was within a few lakhs of being the highest-grossing Bollywood film before Thursday. Film industry expert Taran Adarsh tweeted the film’s fifth-week earnings: “#Pathaan posts a good total… All poised to become the HIGHEST-GROUNDING *HINDI* MOVIE TODAY [sixth Friday] by surpassing #Baahubali2 #Hindi… [Week 5] Fri 1 cr, Sat 1.95 cr, Sun 2.45 cr, Mon 80 lacs, Tue 75 lacs, Wed 75 lacs, Thu 75 lacs. However, it remains to be seen how well the film would perform following the release of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The film, directed by Luv Ranjan, will debut in theaters on Holi, March 8.
Pathaan’s popularity has remained unaffected by recent releases. Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada and Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee, which were expected to offer some joy to the Hindi cinema industry after Pathaan, have flopped terribly and have not been able to replicate Pathaan’s success.
