Mark your calendars, Apple fans – the tech giant is holding its first official event of 2023 on Sunday, May 7th. Dubbed “Let Loose,” this special livestream is expected to unveil exciting updates to the iPad lineup and related accessories. New iPad Pro Models on the Horizon

Apple Pencil Leveling Up
As the event graphic prominently features a pencil, it’s a safe bet that an updated Apple Pencil is on the way. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports this will be a new version of the second-generation Pencil, last updated in 2018.
The marquee feature is expected to be haptic feedback, allowing users to “feel” their interactions with the iPad through subtle vibrations. Pressure-sensitivity could also enable new ways of controlling the tablet, such as squeezing the Pencil to perform certain actions.
Magic Keyboard Gets More Magical
iPad keyboards are getting attention too, with a redesigned Magic Keyboard anticipated to launch alongside the new tablets. The updated accessory will still include a trackpad and case, but with a more durable aluminum construction for a laptop-like feel.
A Streamlined Apple Event
“Let Loose” looks to be one of Apple’s more focused events, zeroing in on a single product category. Those hoping for a new iPad mini, entry-level iPad, or Mac will likely need to wait until later in the year.
