World Heart Day 2020 is being Celebrated
World Heart Day 2020 is being celebrated on September 29 to make people aware of the heart-health. The first year to recall this special day was in 2000. At that time, it was decided that the World Heart Day would be celebrated every year on the last Sunday of September. However, the date of September 29 was fixed to celebrate this special day from 2014.
The purpose behind celebrating this day is to make people aware of heart-related diseases. Nowadays, from a young age to old age, heart disease can be seen. Heart disease is emerging as a serious disease all over the world at present.
At least five persons suffer from heart diseases in India. According to the World Heart Federation, about 18 million patients die of heart-related diseases. The theme for World Heart Day 2020 is ‘Use the heart to beat cardiovascular disease’.
Make lifestyle changes for a healthy heart:
- Physical exercise and yoga for at least 30 minutes daily until sweating.
- Make a habit of using syringes instead of walking, cycling, and elevators.

- Include fruits and salads in the food.
- Reduce alcohol intake.

You must walk at least half an hour a day or get tired of at least 20 minutes of exercise. This makes our heart pumping better, reducing the risk of heart attack by one-third.
