After a season filled with Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, and Playoff Rounds, “The Voice” went live with the Top 20 artists from Teams John Legend, Chance the Rapper, Dan + Shay, and Reba McEntire.
This gave America its first opportunity to vote, culminating in a star-studded finale where the Season 25 winner was crowned.
Finale Performances
The finale on Monday night featured stellar performances from the Top 5 contestants: Asher HaVon, Bryan Olesen, Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, and Nathan Chester.
The results of America’s vote were revealed at the end of a two-hour show, packed with performances from musical guests like The Black Keys, Jelly Roll, Kate Hudson, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Muni Long, and Thomas Rhett.
Special Appearances and Performances
Season 23 winner Gina Miles made a triumphant return to The Voice stage to perform her new single, “Wicked Game.” The night also saw a powerful performance by the U.S. Army Field Band.
Celebrating its 25th season, “The Voice” featured video appearances by past coaches such as Kelly Clarkson, CeeLo Green, Niall Horan, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani, highlighting some of the best vocal performances and memorable moments over the seasons.
The Entertainment Highlights
To kick off the evening, Thomas Rhett performed his hit “As Beautiful As You,” setting a high-energy tone for the night.
Dan + Shay then took the stage with Karen Waldrup for a rendition of Lady A’s “You Look Good,” followed by a playful video package featuring John Legend and Chance the Rapper engaging in a comedic keyboard duel and dance-off.
The musical acts continued with Muni Long delivering a powerful performance of her platinum-selling hit “Made for Me.”
John Legend paired with Bryan Olesen for a soulful rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good.”
The Black Keys brought their signature style with “Beautiful People (Stay High),” and Reba McEntire and Josh Sanders performed a heartfelt duet of “Back to God.”
Special Moments
Lainey Wilson, reigning 2023 CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year, made her debut on The Voice stage with her new single “Hang Tight Honey.” In a touching moment, Reba McEntire invited Lainey to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry, one of country music’s highest honors, bringing Lainey to tears as her family watched on.
Kate Hudson, making her Voice debut, performed her new single “Glorious,” showcasing her musical talents beyond her acting career.
Another highlight was the duet between Reba and Asher HaVon on “On My Own” by Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald.
This was followed by Niall Horan introducing Gina Miles for her performance of “Wicked Game.”
The final coach/artist pairing of the night saw John Legend and Nathan Chester deliver a stirring performance of Percy Sledge’s classic “When a Man Loves a Woman.”
Jelly Roll closed out the performances with the debut of his new song “I Am Not Okay.”
The Results
As the night drew to a close, host Carson Daly gathered the five finalists on stage to reveal the results.
In fifth place was Karen Waldrup, followed by Nathan Chester in fourth place, Bryan Olesen in third, and Josh Sanders in second place.
The winner of Season 25 of “The Voice” was Asher HaVon, marking a significant victory for coach Reba McEntire.
