A friendly match is expected to take place at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu National Stadium. The BFF president stated that they had already sent a letter to the National Sports Council (NSC) requesting that ongoing stadium renovations be completed on an emergency basis.
Argentina’s opponent team for the match would be determined following a conversation with Argentine officials, notably coach Lionel Scaloni.
Lionel Messi’s Argentina Football squad played a friendly football match against the Nigeria National team on September 6, 2011 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. Argentina defeated Nigeria 3-1 in that encounter. Argentina, however, was not the World Champion at the time.
