Ralph Ineson Cast as Galactus in Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four’

The upcoming “The Fantastic Four” movie has cast British actor Ralph Ineson, known for his roles in “The First Omen” and “The Witch,” as the cosmic villain Galactus.

This is a huge addition to an already star-studded cast, and it’s sure to make the film even more epic.

For those who may not be familiar with the character, Galactus is a god-like entity who survives by consuming entire planets and all the living beings on them. In 1966, a “Fantastic Four” comic introduced Galactus as a unique villain, distinct from the typical Earth-based antagonists.

Since then, he’s become an iconic figure in the Marvel universe and has even worked with the Fantastic Four and the Avengers to defeat other enemies.

Some seriously talented actors will play the superhero quartet in the Fantastic Four. Pedro Pascal will be taking on the role of Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby will be Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn will be Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). The film will also feature Oscar nominee John Malkovich and Emmy winner Paul Walter Hauser in undisclosed roles, as well as Emmy winner Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer.

The decision to bring Galactus into the MCU has some interesting implications for the future of the franchise. For example, the Ultimate Nullifier, which is the only weapon that can defeat Galactus, has also been used to destroy the entire multiverse. Galactus could play a crucial role in the upcoming “Avengers: Secret Wars” movie, slated to wrap up the Multiverse Saga in 2027.

Matt Shakman, who received two Emmy nominations for his work on “Wanda Vision,” will rejoin the MCU as the director of “The Fantastic Four.” A team of talented writers, including Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer, and “Wanda Vision” alum Peter Cameron, is writing the script.

Ineson himself is no stranger to big franchises, having previously appeared in the “Harry Potter,” “Star Wars,” and “Kingsman” movies. In fact, this won’t even be his first time in the MCU; he previously played a ravager pilot in 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Ineson is currently starring in “The First Omen” and will also be appearing in Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” and Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” later this year.

With this incredible cast and creative team behind it, “The Fantastic Four” is poised to be one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU when it hits theaters on July 25, 2025. Get ready to see Galactus and the Fantastic Four in action!
