The time to see every nominee movie is running out, as the 2024 Academy Awards are set to premiere on ABC on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
Fortunately, depending on the streaming services you use, you might be able to watch them from the comfort of your living room couch.
There may only be a few of these fantastic films available to you because of time constraints. Which ones ought to come first? Of course, the ones with the most Oscar nominations!
This year, you must see the Christopher Nolan-directed World War II drama “Oppenheimer.” It tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer and his crew as they worked to develop the atomic bomb. The film was nominated for thirteen awards, including best picture and acting for Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., and Cillian Murphy.
“Poor Things,” a peculiar and quirky dark comedy about a female creation akin to Frankenstein who must learn how to navigate the world, received the second-highest number of nominations. Eleven nominations were received, with Emma Stone nominated for best actress in a leading role and best picture.
You should definitely consider adding “Killers of the Flower Moon” to your list of must-watch movies. This is a gripping true tale about an Osage woman (portrayed by Lily Gladstone) who is wed to a white man (Leonardo DiCaprio) in 1920s Oklahoma. The film tells the tale of several tragic deaths that occurred within the Osage Nation as a result of ruthless oil tycoons. The film was nominated for 10 awards, such as best picture, best director for Martin Scorsese, and best actress for Gladstone.
After completing these three tasks, make an effort to watch as many of the films nominated for Best Picture as you can.
