This means companies are focusing on the infrastructure that allows content to be delivered reliably, regardless of the device. We’re seeing a move away from the “download and play” model toward streaming and instant-access interfaces. It makes sense, really. Nobody wants to manage storage space on their phone or wait for a 50GB update before they can have a bit of fun. We want it now, we want it fast, and we want it to work perfectly every single time.

This trend is also about social integration. Entertainment isn’t a lonely pursuit anymore. Even when we’re physically alone, we’re often part of a massive global community. Modern ecosystems have to bake these social layers into the very architecture of the site.
