However, Google postponed the release to address a “component quality issue.” According to Google spokesperson Matt Flegal, a passive component in the Pixel 9a did not meet the company’s rigorous quality standards for device longevity. As a result, Google made the decision to delay the release to take corrective action on the affected units.
