Aprilia Launches a High-Power RS 457 Supersport Motorcycle in India

Aprilia RS 457 Launches in India

During EICMA 2023, Aprilia introduced the RS 457, their latest performance-oriented model and their smallest one yet.

Inspired by its larger counterpart, the RS 660, the RS 457 is designed for riders who have a passion for sporty motorcycles and want to explore the world of motorcycle racing. It also serves as a versatile sportbike that is suitable for both everyday street riding and track adventures.

It is worth noting that the small-displacement sportbike is now being introduced in various markets. Curiously, pricing details for the US market were among the first to be revealed. The RS 457 model is available in two color options: Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light, priced at $6,799. For those seeking a more premium look, the racing-inspired Racing Stripes livery is available at $6,899. The sportbike was recently launched in India at the India Bike Week, and its price tag is quite affordable, which might make people from other markets a little envious.

When sold in India, where the RS 457 is made, it costs only Rs 410,000, which is about $4,918 the US dollar. When compared to the Aprilia, which has the newest technology and best performance features, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is even more expensive. The Ninja 400 is a sportbike that is good for beginners but is starting to look a bit old. Could the Aprilia RS 457 be the best small displacement sportbike ever? It looks like this is going to happen, but only time will tell.

For speed, we get a brand-new 457cc parallel-twin engine that is liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, and has a crankshaft that turns 270 degrees. Most people agree that a 270-crank parallel-twin engine has better torque, sound, and character than a 180-degree twin, but it actually comes down to personal taste. It’s not a surprise that other companies, like Honda and CFMoto, are going with this setup. When it comes to the RS 457, it makes 47 horsepower at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm, or 32 pound-feet, of torque at 6,700 rpm.

The Aprilia RS 457 really shines when it comes to technology. A Noale car has always been linked to cutting-edge technology, so it makes sense that its base expensive model comes packed with all kinds of tech goodies.

This is a five-inch, full-color TFT screen that shows all the important ride data. There are three levels of traction control and three ride modes with a throttle-by-wire device. The suspension is made up of a 41-millimeter inverted fork and a single shock. It has one 320-millimeter disc brake in the front and one 220 millimeter disc brake in the back.
