WhatsApp outage: how many people had issues?
At its height, the outage impacted approximately 24,000 WhatsApp users in the US, according to Downdetector.
According to the data, there were approximately 46,000 users in India, around 82,000 in the United Kingdom, and over 88,000 in Brazil who also experienced issues with the platform.
According to data from Downdetector, there were also over 5,000 Instagram outages recorded.
In the past month, there were incidents where users experienced difficulties accessing their accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, affecting a significant number of people.
Statista reported that in the fourth quarter of 2023, Meta announced that a staggering 3.98 billion individuals were actively using one or more of the company’s flagship products, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger, on a monthly basis.
