Oscar Winners 2023

The other award for best actor in a leading role went to Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”), who was also a first-time winner. (Maybe the biggest winner is A24, the studio responsible for both of these films.)

“Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio,” which won for best-animated feature; Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis, each first-time winners for supporting roles in “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once”; “Navalny,” which took home the best documentary feature statuette; the costume designer Ruth Carter, who became the first Black woman to win two Oscars (this time for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever“); and “All Quiet
