Meta’s Facebook gives users access to its verification program, gives them a blue check mark and unique features. This is very similar to what Twitter offers to people who pay for it.
Meta Verified is the name of the company’s subscription service, which was announced in February. It’s a way for people to prove they are who they say they are since a government-issued ID is needed to prove it.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg calls it a “subscription service that lets you verify your account with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra protection against accounts pretending to be you, and get direct access to customer support.”
Features include a blue badge next to a user’s name, proactive account protection from hackers, and several exclusive features, such as stickers on Facebook, Instagram Stories, and Facebook Reels, as well as 100 Stars per month to show support for creators. Customer service can also help subscribers directly with their Instagram accounts.
Users can join up right now for the verification procedure, which has monthly fees of $14.99 for iOS and Android users and $11.99 for web users. However, there is no choice for businesses, and it is currently only accessible to those 18 years of age or older in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Facebook Verified: How to Get Started?
- Visit the settings page on Instagram or Facebook.
- Choose Meta Verified from the Accounts Center menu.
- Once the service is operational, a button with the label “Meta Verified available” will show up beneath the user’s name and profile picture.
- Next, configure the payment method and upload a valid government-issued ID.
Users must set two-factor authentication on their accounts to be eligible for the service. Moreover, Meta Verified members won’t be able to modify their profile name, photo, username, or date of birth unless they choose to go through the verification process once more.
