Rising star Nicholas Galitzine, known for his roles in popular films such as “Purple Hearts” (2022), “Red, White & Royal Blue” (2023), and the recent Prime Video release “The Idea of You,” opened up about his approach to managing the increased attention that comes with his growing fame. In an interview with IndieWire, the actor emphasized the importance of setting boundaries and maintaining a sense of normalcy in his life.

Galitzine shared that his “non-negotiables” include carving out time for his loved ones and friends, stating, “I always try and carve out time for them.” He also mentioned that he avoids engaging with the more toxic aspects of Hollywood and surrounds himself with like-minded individuals in the industry who share his values.

Focusing on the Creative Aspect of Acting

The “Bottoms” actor revealed that he remains focused on his initial motivation for pursuing acting, which is his love for the creative process. “I love the job for what it is, which is a creative endeavor,” Galitzine explained. He added that outside of his work, he maintains a relatively normal life, enjoying activities such as exploring, spending time in nature, and dining out at restaurants.

Galitzine acknowledged that he might be speaking from a point of naivety but expressed his hope to continue creating a space for himself where he can pursue his passions while navigating the challenges of fame.

The movie is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.

Future Aspirations and Versatility

Looking ahead, Galitzine expressed his desire to explore various genres in his future projects. He mentioned his interest in tackling roles in the action, sci-fi fantasy, Western, and comedy genres, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

“Really, my tastes are very varied, which is exciting,” Galitzine told IndieWire. “And I think it’s certainly an approach I’ve kind of taken in the last couple of years towards my work: really trying to find the light and shade of what I’m capable of.”

The “Mary & George” actor’s willingness to challenge himself and showcase his range demonstrates his dedication to his craft and his eagerness to continue growing as an actor.
