9th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair Showcases Hot Techs
The 9th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) started on Thursday. Its theme is “Tech Creates World,” and it will show off new technologies in digitalization and green development.
Since 2013, the show has been held eight times. As an important place to show off advanced technologies, the fair not only connects innovative resources but also strengthens international exchanges and cooperation in the field of technology trade.
This year’s CSITF, which took place from June 15 to 17, drew nearly 1,000 companies from China and other countries. The event focused on an open global industrial chain and a future driven by technology.
Digital, Green Focus
For CSITF 2023, the exhibition areas have been set up so that they focus on digitalization and green growth.
This year, there are five main display areas that cover a total of 35,000 square meters. These areas are themed pavilions, energy and low-carbon technology, digital technology, biomedicine, and innovation ecology services.
A technical cooperation zone for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is also part of the fair. This area brings together the results of technological cooperation and innovation from BRI countries.
Smart, Innovative Robots
China’s new electric tilt-rotor aircraft is one of many new, cutting-edge goods that are getting a lot of attention.
The plane has a high load capacity and makes little noise. It can take off and rest vertically using electric power (eVTOL).
The E20 eVTOL was made by Shanghai TCab Technology Co., Ltd. It is intended to have a maximum range of 200 kilometers, a cruise speed of 260 km/h, and a top speed of 320 km/h.
Huang Yongwei, founder and CEO of Shanghai TCab Technology, said that it is a green and sustainable product that meets the needs of the future of urban three-dimensional transportation systems. It is mostly used for low-altitude tourist and air taxi.
“It’s a way to get around that lets you move short distances between 30 and 150 kilometers between cities or within cities. The price of a ticket for this air cab will be about the same as for a regular taxi, but it will go five times faster.
Huang said that the plane will take its first flight this year and that it should be ready for mass production as planned in the future.
Also making its debut at the show is an electric rice transplanter that uses satellite navigation and positioning services to plant seeds without any human help.
Li Changxing, a technical advisor at Shanghai Diantian Network Technology Co., Ltd., said, “The machine’s work route is pre-programmed by computer, and it can theoretically work 24 hours a day.”
At this year’s show, you can see the first sowing and fertilizer-distribution robots, as well as the robotic rice transplanters.
