Brings Plenty, the nephew of Yellowstone actor and Native American consultant Mo Brings Plenty, was a promising talent in the 1923 universe. He played Pete Plenty Clouds, a sheepherder introduced in Season 1, who shared screen time with Teonna Rainwater, portrayed by Aminah Nieves. The Season 1 finale saw Pete riding off with Teonna and her father, Runs His Horse (Michael Spears), after Teonna escaped from a brutal Catholic boarding school.
His role was set to expand in Season 2, with a deeper exploration of Pete and Teonna’s relationship. Nieves recalled the actor’s excitement about his growing presence in the show. “He was so excited, especially when he learned that he was going to be in almost every episode,” she told media. His Tragic Passing and Ongoing Questions
Cole Brings Plenty was reported missing by his family in early April 2023 after failing to attend a scheduled Zoom meeting with his agent. On April 5, his body was discovered in Johnson County, Kansas. Authorities ruled out foul play, but his family has publicly questioned the investigation, demanding further clarity on the circumstances surrounding his death.
His father, Joe Brings Plenty Sr., spoke at the Red Nation Film Festival in November, expressing his ongoing fight for answers. “We want a full investigation,” he stated, emphasizing the family’s doubts regarding the official findings.

The Season 2 premiere event in Los Angeles saw an outpouring of love and remembrance for Brings Plenty.
