Ambani surpassed Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer to reclaim the top rank. Yet, Ambani’s company Reliance Industries’ share price has dropped 3% in the last year—though not as much as shares of Microsoft, where Ballmer served as CEO from 2000 to 2014.
Ambani’s net worth was $83.7 billion as of 10 March 2024, when Forbes locked in net worth for the 2024 World’s Billionaires list, compared to Ballmer’s net worth of $80.7 billion.
