Lionel Messi, the renowned footballer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has recently matched the record of Dani Alves, a Barcelona icon, as the most decorated player in the history of football. With their latest triumph, both players have now accumulated a total of 43 trophies in their respective club careers.
Paris Saint-Germain clinched their 11th Ligue 1 title after securing a 1-1 draw against Strasbourg in the league on Saturday (May 27). Christophe Galtier’s team secured a goal in the 59th minute, courtesy of Messi.
Argentina’s collection of trophies continues to grow. The individual in question boasts an impressive list of accomplishments in the world of soccer. He has secured victories in the FIFA World Cup and Copa America once each, as well as the UEFA Champions League three times and the FIFA Club World Cup three times. Additionally, he has claimed the La Liga title ten times, the Ligue 1 title twice, and the UEFA Super Cup three times. He has also earned the Copa del Rey seven times, the Supercopa de Espana eight times, the French Super Cup once, and the Finalissima once.
Lionel Messi was a key player in Paris Saint-Germain’s victory in the Ligue 1 this season. In 31 appearances this season, he has managed to score 16 goals and provide an equal number of assists.

According to sources, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, both former teammates of Lionel Messi at Barcelona, are set to depart from the club this season. Sergio Busquets has remained loyal to his club since his debut in 2008, making him a one-club man.
Since his transfer from Valencia in the summer of 2012, Alba has been a steadfast player. The departure of two veterans from the club has stirred up emotions. Lionel Messi, who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain, took to Instagram to write a message for his former Barcelona teammate, Jordi Alba.
“You were more than a teammate, a true accomplice on the pitch. … And how nice it is to also be able to enjoy how well we get along personally. You know that I always wish you the best and also your family. I hope your new stage continues to bring you much success and joy. Thanks for everything, Jordi. A big hug!”

He previously wished Busquets for his future, posting on Instagram:

“On the field, always with the 5, but in reality as a player, and as a person, you are a 10, Busi. I wish you the best in your new stage and always, both to you and to your entire family,” Messi added.

According to reports, Barcelona has extended an invitation to Lionel Messi to attend the farewell party of two of their players. According to sources, the Blaugrana are reportedly interested in re-signing Lionel Messi once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer.
