The Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison has announced that if the trial of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is successful, it will be given free to all 2.5 million people.
Australia had already signed an agreement to produce the vaccine, Morrison said during a visit to pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in Sydney on Wednesday.
The Oxford and AstraZeneca vaccines are among the world’s five coronavirus vaccines on the verge of success, the BBC says.
A research report led by Paul Tomby, a senior consultant at the National University Hospital in Singapore, says the number of Covid-19 cases has increased in some parts of Europe, North America and Asia. But the mortality rate has decreased.

So far, 23,989 people have tested corona positive in Australia. Of these, 14,929 already have recovered. And 450 people died. Australia is one of the few countries in the world to take precautionary measures against the epidemic.
