Kid Cudi Claims Diddy Behind Molotov Attack in Shocking Testimony

kid cudi testifies diddy molotov attack

Rapper Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, has emerged as a pivotal witness in the ongoing federal trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. On Thursday, May 23, 2025, Cudi took the stand for nearly two hours and shared explosive allegations, including a Molotov cocktail attack on his Porsche and a break-in at his Los Angeles home, both of which he believes were orchestrated by Combs.

Cudi’s testimony came during the third week of a landmark trial in which Combs faces a sweeping array of federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution. If convicted, Combs could face life in prison.

A Timeline of Allegations: Kid Cudi and Cassie Ventura’s Relationship Sparks Conflict

Kid Cudi told the court that in late 2011, he briefly dated singer and model Cassie Ventura, Combs’ longtime ex-girlfriend. The relationship reportedly began after Combs had initially encouraged Cudi to collaborate musically with Ventura.

In December 2011, Cudi received a panicked phone call from Cassie, who claimed that Combs had discovered their relationship and was furious. Fearing for her safety, Cudi said he helped Ventura escape to a hotel. But the situation escalated rapidly.

Alleged Home Intrusion: “Are You in My House?”

Shortly after the call, Cudi said he got a message from a mutual friend, Capricorn Clark, who informed him that Combs and another man were inside his Los Angeles residence. Alarmed, Cudi testified that he immediately called Combs and confronted him.

Cudi rushed home, where he says he found his security cameras had been tampered with, his Christmas gifts ransacked, and his dog locked inside a bathroom, clearly distressed.

Cudi claimed he tried to contact Combs again to confront him, saying he felt enraged and wanted to fight. He later reported the incident to police, although it’s unclear whether charges were filed at that time.

January 2012: Molotov Cocktail Attack on Porsche

In a separate but closely related incident, Kid Cudi alleged that in January 2012, just weeks after the Ventura situation ended, his luxury Porsche was firebombed.

According to his testimony, he received a call from his dogsitter telling him that his car was on fire. When he returned home, Cudi discovered a hole cut into the roof of the car and a charred interior consistent with an explosive device.

Prosecutors presented photographic evidence of the damage to the jury, showing extensive burning.

“It was a Molotov cocktail,” Cudi testified. “It was clearly intentional.”

Cudi says he strongly believes that Combs was behind the attack, although Combs denied any involvement when the two met later.

Cudi was not the only witness to take the stand on Thursday. Several others shared disturbing accounts that seem to align with a broader narrative of intimidation and violence allegedly associated with Combs.

Makeup Artist Testifies to Cassie’s Injuries

Mylah Morales, a celebrity makeup artist, testified that she once saw Cassie Ventura with a black eye, a split lip, and visible lumps on her head. Morales said she was deeply shaken and feared for her own safety after witnessing the injuries.

“I feared for my life,” Morales told the court.

Hotel Manager Shares Disturbing Guest Patterns

Frederic Zemmour, the general manager of a hotel frequently used by Combs, testified about having to order deep cleanings after Combs’ stays.

Zemmour read from staff logs, including notes that the guest “always spills candle wax on everything” and uses large amounts of oil. This testimony appeared to back up earlier claims made by other witnesses about Combs’ alleged use of oils during coercive sexual acts.

Cassie Ventura’s Explosive Earlier Testimony

The trial’s earlier weeks featured deeply emotional testimony from Cassie Ventura, who detailed years of alleged abuse during her relationship with Combs. She told the court she was subjected to “freak-offs” — Combs’ term for group sex events, often fueled by drugs.

Ventura also described being punched in the face, dragged by her hair, and held at gunpoint. Her accounts were corroborated in part by her mother, Regina Ventura, who testified that she saw her daughter bruised and once paid Combs $20,000 in an attempt to keep private tapes from being released.

Defense Pushes Back: Denies All Accusations

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all criminal charges and denies the claims made in the civil suits that mirror the federal case. His attorneys have tried to cast doubt on the allegations by pointing out the lack of physical evidence directly linking Combs to the home invasion or car bombing described by Kid Cudi.

Nevertheless, prosecutors argue that the incidents are part of a pattern of behavior consistent with a criminal enterprise.

Trial Continues After Memorial Day

As the court recessed for the Memorial Day weekend, the trial is expected to resume on Tuesday, May 27. Among the upcoming witnesses is Capricorn Clark, the individual who warned Cudi of the alleged break-in. Her testimony could provide corroboration of Cudi’s version of events.

Combs remains detained without bail, and the trial is expected to last several more weeks as prosecutors continue to present evidence and witnesses in what could become one of the most high-profile celebrity trials of the decade.
