Google’s Gemini AI Shines at I/O 2024, Transforming Search, Photos, and More

The highly anticipated Google I/O 2024 conference for developers kicked off today at 11 pm Bangladesh time at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, USA. The event, which is being broadcast live and streamed on Google’s YouTube channel, began with a video showcasing how Google’s AI-powered products and services are simplifying people’s daily lives.

Sundar Pichai’s Opening Remarks

Google CEO Sundar Pichai took the stage and welcomed both in-person and online attendees from around the world. He declared that Google has entered the “Age of Gemini,” which focuses on creating opportunities for creators, developers, and startup entrepreneurs. Pichai revealed that over 1.5 million developers are now utilizing the Gemini model of AI technology to debug Google Tools, write code, and gain new insights.

AI-powered Google Search in the US

Google announced that its search engine in the United States will become more AI-based. While initially launched in the US, this feature will later be available to users in other countries.

‘Ask AI’ Feature in Google Photos

Google Photos is set to introduce the ‘Ask AI’ feature, which incorporates Gemini AI to make image searches more efficient.

Gemini 1.5 Pro Launch in Workspace Labs

Workspace Labs announced the launch of Gemini 1.5 Pro, starting on the day of the conference.

As the Google I/O 2024 conference continues, more announcements are expected regarding the integration of Gemini AI into various Google products and services. This annual event provides developers with the opportunity to learn about the latest technological updates within the Google ecosystem and is also known for the unveiling of new Google products.
