Microsoft’s Bing AI chatbot is making its debut on Google Chrome and Safari, as recently noticed by Windows Latest and reported by 9to5Google. Now, users of these browsers can enjoy chatting with these AI on Bing.com.
However, there are a few constraints when using Bing Chat on Chrome and Safari. Users are restricted to 2,000-word prompts, in contrast to the 4,000-word limit on Edge. Also, the chatbot conversation will refresh after just five turns, unlike the more generous 30-turn limit on Edge. And yes, there will be those irritating pop-ups nudging you to download Edge.
But there’s good news, too. Microsoft has broadened the availability of Bing Chat across different browsers and has also unveiled a dark mode for the tool. This can be activated by clicking on the hamburger menu in Bing Chat’s top-right corner, then selecting Appearance > Dark or System Default. However, this feature doesn’t seem to be fully rolled out yet. While some users can access it, others, like myself, still can’t.
Previously, Bing’s chatbot was only accessible on Edge, which wasn’t very handy for those who prefer other browsers. Now, though, users have more options.
