A confirmation of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s transfer to Al Nassr is imminent. The Portuguese player has already signed a contract with the Saudis, claims MARCA. On December 31, Cristiano Ronaldo will make it official after traveling to Saudi Arabia with the club’s president and sporting director, who were in Madrid on Friday.

Talks between Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr reportedly began in November, during the World Cup, as MARCA has reported. The move is complete after successful negotiations.

The first reports of the Saudi club’s plans to sign Cristiano Ronaldo surfaced on November 23. The relationship between CR7 and United had already soured even before the World Cup had begun.

When the Portuguese celebrity was seeking for a new location, Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia became an option. He would become the highest paid footballer in the world with a staggering 200 million euro contract, and he will now accept the Saudi offer after turning them down last summer.

The athlete had been considering it in recent weeks, but ultimately decided to commit to the Saudi project for two seasons and part of the third, at a cost of 200 million euros for each of them. To finalize the arrangements that will enable him to join his new squad on January 1, the player will now fly to Riyadh with club personnel. 

Now, the Saudi adventure of Cristiano Ronaldo is about to start.
