The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour” will kick off on October 18 in Montreal and conclude on December 5 at Chicago’s United Center. 

Throughout the tour, Lauper will perform at notable venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden on October 30, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 1, Los Angeles’s Intuit Dome on November 23, Palm Desert’s Acrisure Arena on November 24, and San Francisco’s Chase Center on November 26. 

Additionally, she will perform at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on October 24, marking a unique non-arena show during the tour.

Ticket Sales and Presales

Beginning on Tuesday, an artist presale for the farewell tour will be available, and additional presales supported by Chase, Spotify, and Ticketmaster will follow.

The general on-sale will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. local time, available through LiveNation.com. Special guests who will accompany Lauper on the tour will be announced at a later date, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding her final performances.

Let the Canary Sing” Documentary

Lauper’s farewell tour announcement coincides with the release of a new documentary about her career, titled “Let the Canary Sing.” Directed by Alison Ellwood, the documentary premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year and will start streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday.

The film provides an in-depth look at Lauper’s rise to fame, featuring interviews with her family, friends, and the ’80s icon herself.

Promotional Events and Media Appearances

As part of the promotion for both the documentary and the farewell tour, Lauper will participate in a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday. 

Following the ceremony, she will attend a private local premiere of the documentary at the theater complex, which will include a Q&A session. On Wednesday, Lauper will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to discuss the documentary and her upcoming farewell tour.
