Several new virtual reality games for Meta’s Quest headsets were recently demonstrated at the company’s latest Quest Gaming Showcase.
This year could be a big one for Meta in the gaming world. It just announced the Quest 3, and Sony just released the PSVR 2, and Apple’s rumored headset is likely to have some big games of its own. This means that VR players are facing more and more competition. But it looks like players who have invested in Meta’s VR platform will have some good games to look forward to.

Asgard’s Wrath 2
Asgard’s Wrath 2, the sequel to the well-known action-adventure RPG Asgard’s Wrath, got a lot of attention on Meta. During the show, gameplay video showed swordfighting, axe throwing, puzzles, minigames, and even fishing. Meta says that the game will be big, with a campaign that lasts more than 60 hours and a roguelite dungeon mode. Asgard’s Wrath 2 will come out for Quest headsets in the winter of 2023. Assassin’s Creed
This year, Quest headsets will be able to play Assassin’s Creed owing to a new game called Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR. Assassin’s Creed is now available on almost all gaming platforms. On Thursday’s broadcast, Meta claimed that Ubisoft will reveal additional information at its Ubisoft Forward event on June 12th, but she didn’t disclose much else about the game.
Stranger Things
With Stranger Things VR, you can watch Stranger Things season 4 as Vecna if you’ve ever wanted to. At the event, Meta debuted a spooky, foreboding trailer depicting what playing the game will be like; this one might be too spooky for me. This fall will see the release of the game.
Samba de Amigo
This fall, Sega will release Samba de Amigo for Quest headsets, allowing users to shake virtual maracas in virtual reality to a selection of 40 hit songs. I really understand this one. It might not be quite as entertaining as Beat Saber, but it will undoubtedly be a lot sillier.
Ghostbusters VR Game gets a Story Trailer
A new story trailer for the Ghostbusters VR game, which is set in San Francisco and allows you to play co-op with up to three of your buddies, was shown by Meta on Thursday. Meta first hinted at the game at last year’s gaming showcase. This fall will see the release of Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord.
Powerwash Simulator is coming to VR Headsets
The relaxing washing simulator Powerwash Simulator is receiving a VR makeover for Meta’s Quest headsets, which seems like a natural fit. This year, it will be accessible at some point.
