The app debuted in February 2022 on iOS devices and has since made its way to Android devices. Although only about 25,000 users are currently in the Bluesky community, this could rapidly grow as more people are granted access.

Bluesky is available on the Google Play Store for those invited to use it. The app has a character limit of 265, significantly lower than Twitter’s most recent update, which increased the limit to 10,000 for Twitter Blue subscribers.
