ChatGPT Replaces Humans in 50% of US Companies

ChatGPT Replaces Humans in US

Listen to the Podcast:

According to a recent poll, nearly half of US businesses utilizing ChatGPT have reported that the chatbot has already replaced workers. Following this, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warned that the artificial intelligence chatbot shouldn’t be depended on for “anything critical.”

Report to Fortune, the career counselling website Resumebuilder.com conducted a study earlier this month with 1,000 corporate leaders in the United States who either use ChatGPT or plan to use it in the future. It was discovered that over half of the businesses that were questioned are already making use of chatbots. In addition, fifty per cent of the business leaders in the United States who participated in the survey stated that ChatGPT has already displaced employees at their organizations.

Stacie Haller, the Chief Career Adviser at Resumebuilder.com, said, “there is a lot of excitement around the utilization of ChatGPT.” “Since implementing this cutting-edge technology in the workplace is only getting started, employees need to think about how it can influence the duties associated with their existing position. The findings of this poll indicate that employers are interested in using ChatGPT to simplify the performance of specific job activities.

According to a survey conducted by ResumeBuilders.com, businesses in the United States use ChatGPT for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to the following: 66 per cent for writing code; 58 per cent for copywriting and content creation; 57 per cent for customer support; and 52 per cent for meeting summaries and other documents, as reported by Fortune.

The majority of corporate executives are generally pleased with ChatGPT’s services, according to ResumeBuilder.com. “Fifty-five per cent rate ChatGPT’s work as “great,” while 34 per cent describe it as “very good.”

In the meantime, Sam Altman, the founder of ChatGPT and CEO of OpenAI, has warned that the artificial intelligence chatbot shouldn’t be relied on for “anything essential.” According to Fortune’s reporting, Altman also expressed concern about the threats posed by artificial intelligence technologies.

On the other hand, businesses in India, such as TCS, have declared that generative artificial intelligence platforms such as ChatGPT will produce an “AI co-worker” rather than eliminate jobs.

Such tools will enhance efficiency, but they will not affect the business models that companies use, according to Milind Lakkad, the chief human resources officer (CHRO) of the country’s largest IT services firm, which employs more than 6 lakh people.

“It (generative AI) will work beside us as an assistant. There will be a colleague, and that colleague will want some time to comprehend the situation the consumer is in. “Lakkad stated this most recently in an interview with the news agency PTI.

According to Lakkad, the context for a job to be carried out will remain industry- and customer-centric. It will continue to come from the human being aided by such a co-worker.
