Justin Bieber Shuts Down Divorce Rumors: “Marrying Hailey Was Smart”

Hailey Bieber is setting the record straight. In her most revealing interview yet, the model and Rhode Skin founder addressed persistent rumors surrounding her marriage to Justin Bieber and candidly spoke about the challenges of motherhood, the toll of media speculation, and how she continues to navigate fame and personal growth—all as the face of Vogue’s Summer 2025 cover story.

“There’s a New Headline Every Two Days”: Hailey Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumors

In recent months, social media has been flooded with speculation about Hailey and Justin Bieber’s marriage. Some outlets and online fans even claimed the couple was on the verge of divorce or moving to Europe to work on their relationship.

Hailey didn’t hold back when asked about those rumors.

“I read that one. There’s a new headline every two days that makes no sense,” she told Vogue.

From false reports about their alleged marital crisis to fabricated plans to relocate overseas, the 27-year-old entrepreneur says she’s grown used to the relentless scrutiny. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

“I feel like I’ve fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me,” she added. “And people just don’t want to sometimes. And there’s nothing you can do about that.”

She explained that constantly being misunderstood—especially when she tries to correct misinformation—can feel deeply frustrating and isolating.

“I’ve been in a position where I’ve tried to tell my side of a story or correct a narrative or tell the truth of a lie,” she said, “and then they go, ‘Well, she’s lying.’ Imagine how trapping that feels.”

This isn’t the first time Hailey has had to address rumors. Since marrying Justin in a private ceremony in 2018, she’s been the subject of endless online discourse, much of it critical or speculative. In the interview, Hailey acknowledged that public curiosity about her relationship seems to have intensified over the years—even after major milestones like starting a family.

“You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit—but no.”

Justin Bieber Defends Hailey: “The Smartest Thing I Ever Did Was Marry Her”

For the first time in months, Justin Bieber also publicly responded to the rumors—and passionately defended his wife.

“I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey,” he wrote in a statement for Vogue.

The pop icon, now 30, didn’t mince words when it came to how the media and online community treat his wife. He called Hailey an “easy target” for gossip and added that much of the public criticism she receives is unwarranted.

“She’s in the spotlight and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art, and fashion,” he said. “And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy.”

Justin also revealed that he’s tried to help Hailey cope with being under such intense public scrutiny, often reminding her that fighting the narrative is a losing battle.

“Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning.”

Hailey Reflects on Motherhood: “It’s Been the Biggest Teacher”

One of the most emotional parts of the interview came when Hailey spoke about becoming a mother. In August 2024, she and Justin welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Jack Blues Bieber.

“He’s my priority. He is the most important thing to me,” Hailey said.

Hailey, who had long expressed her desire to start a family, revealed that motherhood has brought new challenges but also transformative lessons. It’s changed how she views life, love, and her relationship with Justin.

“It’s been my biggest teacher so far—the biggest teacher in my relationship. You see your partner so differently.”

Hailey described how watching Justin become a father has deepened her admiration and love for him.

“He’s a natural. He’s an amazing dad.”

Postpartum Struggles and Public Pressure

While the Biebers have shared a few glimpses of baby Jack with fans, Hailey also disclosed the difficult physical and emotional aftermath she faced after childbirth.

According to a recent Page Six report, Hailey experienced a serious postpartum hemorrhage—a potentially life-threatening complication—following the birth. Despite months of physical therapy and prenatal preparation, the situation required urgent medical attention.

Alongside her physical recovery, Hailey faced emotional strain, compounded by the media’s obsession with her private life. She described the postpartum period as “the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through,” and yet found herself still having to deal with headlines about her marriage or parenting.

Social Media and Life in the Spotlight: “You Can’t Win”

Hailey also reflected on the toxic relationship between celebrities and social media. Despite her public status, she says she still grapples with how to manage her online presence while maintaining her peace of mind.

“Sometimes I want to explain myself. Sometimes I want to stay silent. But either way, there are people ready to pick it apart.”

She admitted that she often wishes she could disengage completely from the internet. But as a businesswoman—especially the founder of the rapidly growing beauty brand Rhode Skin—Hailey understands the role that social platforms play in building visibility and credibility.

“It’s a weird balancing act—being seen, being heard, and protecting your mental health.”

A Message to Critics: “People Will Believe What They Want”

Throughout the interview, a theme emerged: Hailey is tired of trying to change public perception. She’s accepted that no matter how hard she tries to tell her truth, some people will always choose not to believe her.

“People will believe what they want to believe,” she said. “At the end of the day, I’m not living for them—I’m living for me, my husband, and our son.”

When asked what keeps her grounded, Hailey cited her family, faith, and the lessons she’s learned from Justin, who has spent nearly two decades in the spotlight.

“We’re Solid. We’re Good.”

To those still speculating about their future, Hailey offered a firm but graceful message: She and Justin are happy, committed, and raising their son with love and intention.

Hailey Bieber’s Vogue cover story is a rare, vulnerable window into the life of a woman who has grown up under the lens of public scrutiny. And while the noise may never completely go away, Hailey is more determined than ever to live on her own terms—gracefully, honestly, and unapologetically.
