Kanye West & Bianca Censori Split: Divorce After Grammys Stunt

Kanye West and Bianca Censori Divorce After Grammys Stunt

Kanye West and Bianca Censori are reportedly heading for divorce, just days after her controversial appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2022, have allegedly agreed on a $5 million payout for Censori following their brief marriage.

A source close to West confirmed that the pair have already broken up, and legal proceedings to finalize the divorce are expected to begin soon. While Censori remains at their $35 million Beverly Park North home in Los Angeles, West’s whereabouts are currently unclear. Some reports suggest he may return to Tokyo, Japan, where he has spent much of the past year.

Grammys Red Carpet Stunt Sparks Controversy

Speculation about problems in the marriage grew after Censori’s Grammys red carpet appearance on February 2. During the event, she appeared visibly uncomfortable as West allegedly instructed her to drop her fur coat and “make a scene.”

According to insiders, West viewed the moment as an artistic statement, meant to resemble the cover of his upcoming album, Vultures 2. However, Censori’s hesitation suggested she might not have fully supported the idea. A lip reader analyzing their interaction claimed that West told her, “Start making a scene now,” before she removed her coat to reveal a sheer dress. When he continued, “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you,” she reportedly responded hesitantly, “All right, let’s go.”

The incident raised concerns about West’s level of control over Censori, with many questioning the dynamics of their relationship.

Public Figures Express Concern Over Censori’s Situation

Following the Grammys incident, several public figures spoke out, criticizing West’s alleged influence over Censori. Meghan McCain described Censori as a “hostage” and a “victim” and condemned West’s behavior in strong terms.

“I just want and have wanted for years — for Kanye West to leave us all the hell alone,” McCain wrote, calling the rapper a “repugnant, vile piece of garbage.” She also expressed sympathy for Censori, stating, “She looks like a victim and a hostage.”

Similarly, Alyssa Farrah Griffin voiced her discomfort with the situation during an episode of The View, reflecting growing public concern over the nature of West and Censori’s relationship.

West Defends His Wife and Criticizes Public Reaction

Despite the backlash, West took to social media to praise Censori’s red carpet appearance. He posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “My wife’s first red carpet opened a whole new world. I keep staring at this photo like I was staring in admiration that night thinking wow I am so lucky to have a wife that is so smart, talented, brave, and hot.”

He went on to say, “She took a break from shooting her first film to make a movie in real life. We tailored that invisible dress six times. And just like magic, poof we disappeared.”

West also addressed allegations that he controlled Censori, writing, “Yes, I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to, but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval you stupid woke a– pawns.”

Doubling Down on Controversy

West continued to defend Censori’s fashion choices, claiming that she had been dressing provocatively for years and that people were only now criticizing her because of their relationship.

“She been dressing naked for 2 years. Now all of a sudden it’s a stunt,” he wrote. “Every single b—- on the planet wish they had her bravery, body, platform, and access to money and a husband that supported they personal expression.”

Additionally, West revealed that he had “fired and blocked” an employee who expressed discomfort over Censori’s revealing outfit, reinforcing his firm stance on the matter.

West Reignites Past Controversies

In the midst of his social media rant, West also defended his previous controversial remarks, including his antisemitic comments and infamous statement that “slavery is a choice.”

Furthermore, he expressed support for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing multiple legal challenges. West announced that he plans to sell pieces from his past collaboration with Diddy while rallying public backing for the embattled music executive.

What’s Next for West and Censori?

As reports of their split continue to circulate, it remains to be seen when the couple will officially file for divorce. While West has yet to address the separation directly, sources indicate that Censori has already begun moving on from the relationship.

Given West’s history of high-profile breakups and public outbursts, this latest development only adds to his long list of controversial moments. Whether the divorce proceedings will be smooth or filled with drama remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s whirlwind romance has come to an abrupt and highly publicized end.
