Microsoft, the world’s largest maker of computer software, has given its stamp of approval to the usage of Parallels Desktop 18 on M1 and M2-based Macs to run the ARM versions of Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise.

The company can now provide Parallels Desktop version 18 as an “approved solution” thanks to their partnership with Parallel. The company issued a support article that makes the same announcement.
For those unaware, the hardware virtualization program known as Parallels Desktop makes it possible for users to run Windows on Macs. According to an article published by Microsoft, Apple M1, and M2 computers can run Arm versions of Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Enterprise in a virtual environment on Parallels Desktop version 18. This is possible thanks to Parallels Desktop’s ability to host multiple virtual machines.
However, Microsoft notes that the Arm version of Windows 11 has limitations that can influence users’ ability to utilize various types of hardware, games, and applications. This includes software and games that rely on DirectX 12 or OpenGL3.3 or above. For example, experiences that depend on a nested virtualization layer aren’t supported because they need an extra virtualization layer. These are the following:

In the meantime, Microsoft announced on Friday that it would limit the number of questions asked during chat sessions on its new Bing search engine, which is driven by generative artificial intelligence (AI), to five per session and fifty per day.
