Indian Prominent Singer KK Dies at 53 after Live Performance in Kolkata

Prominent Singer KK

Singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath), who had many hits in India over the last 30 years, has died at age 53. On Tuesday, he did a show at Nazrul Mancha. After the show, he went back to his hotel, where he got sick. He was taken to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) hospital in South Kolkata where doctors said that he had been “brought to death,”. 

At first, Amit Kumar’s wife Reema Ganguly announces the news of the artist’s death on Facebook. Immediately, the shadow of grief descended on the fans. The city of melodies Kolkata witnessed the end of this eminent artist’s songs.

 

KK gave two concerts in the last two days. According to verified sources, he went to a five-star hotel in Kolkata after the live concert. At that time, fans requested him to take pictures. During the concert at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata for Gurudas College’s fest, he reportedly felt sick and went back to the hotel, where he reportedly fell down the stairs and got worse. Then he was taken to the hospital as his illness worsened.

“Singer Anupam Roy called me and told me he heard something bad from the hospital,” West Bengal Sports Minister Arup Biswas said about KK’s death. After that, I contacted the hospital. They said that he had already died. Then I went to the hospital right away.”

Singer KKIn 1999, KK put out his first album, Pal. The critics liked his first album Pal. The singer-composer, whose real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, focused more on Bollywood than on his own music at the time. He had hits like “Tadap Tadap” from “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999), “Dus Bahane” from “Dus” (2005), and “Tune Maari Entriyaan” from “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999). (Gunday, 2014).

Some of his most famous songs are the upbeat “Khuda Jaane,” the romantic “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai” and “Awarapan Banjarapan,” and the sad “Tadap Tadap Ke” from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which was one of his first big hits.

KK has recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali, among other languages.

He was born in Delhi, and his live shows were known for being very exciting. Even as recently as eight hours ago, his Instagram page had news about his concert in Kolkata.

Mourning his death, Prime Minister Modi said, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”

Harshdeep Kaur, a singer, was shocked by his death. “Just can’t believe that our beloved #KK is gone. This just can’t be right. Love’s voice is no longer there. This makes my heart hurt.” 

Akshay Kumar, an actor, wrote, “Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a Loss! Om Shanti.”
