The European Union said on Friday that it will reopen its diplomatic mission in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, after temporarily relocating it to Poland following Russia’s invasion of the country.
Matti Maasikas, the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine, arrived in Kyiv on Friday with other top EU officials to reopen the delegation and examine the conditions for personnel to return, according to the bloc’s diplomatic service.
Josep Borrell, a top EU official, said the measure will improve the EU’s interactions with the Ukrainian government and assist Ukrainian individuals.
