Millions of people gathered in front of the airport in Buenos Aires on Monday night. And even more so at the Obelisco monument in the center of the city.
The Argentina team received a warm welcome from the fans on board the open-top bus. Lionel Scaloni‘s side gave the Albiceleste a happy occasion by defeating France 4-2 in a tiebreaker after a 3-3 draw in last Sunday’s final at the Lucille Stadium.
