UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya believes Francis Ngannou “will make history” when he meets Tyson Fury on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou and Adesanya are two of the promotion’s most successful African-born competitors, with ‘The Last Stylebender’ frequently referring to Ngannou as his brother.
Fury is the overwhelming favorite to win the bout, with Ngannou moving outside of the MMA world to face boxing’s heavyweight champion in his own sport.
However, Adesanya, who defends his middleweight title at UFC 293 on Saturday, believes that people are too quick to dismiss Ngannou’s chances. Additionally, you can also read about- How Do UFC Fighters Cut Weight The Right Way?
Adesanya stated in the run-up to UFC 293: “I’m going to be there to witness history.”
“I’m proud of him; he’s leading the charge, and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes.”
“People say he’s a long shot, but this man has no fear.”
“If you listen to his story about what he’s been through, you’ll notice that he’s fortified, that he’s locked in, that you can’t shake him, that you can’t break him.”
“I’m very proud of him, shoutout to my big brother Francis, and I can’t wait for him to make history again.”
