Google Cloud and Stack Overflow established a new agreement today that will increase the value of Gemini for developers.
Developers can benefit from Gemini (formerly known as Duet AI) for Google Cloud, which provides AI code assistance such as auto-complete, generating entire blocks and functions, troubleshooting, and additional features. The model has been trained on a wide range of publicly available information and code from open-source and third-party platforms.
Gemini is now ready to offer suggestions, code, and answers from Stack Overflow using the new OverflowAPI. Developers can use Stack Overflow straight from the Google Cloud console, providing a more integrated experience.
Meanwhile, Stack Overflow has chosen Google Cloud for hosting and is working on developing new community engagement experiences and content curation processes using Vertex AI. For instance, users can anticipate a faster content approval process and improved forum engagement experiences for Stack Overflow users.
