Reservation Dogs Season 3

Listen to the Podcast:

FX has picked up Reservation Dogs season 3 before the end of its second season on September 28. The new season is scheduled to come out on Hulu only in 2023. Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi made Reservation Dogs.

It is about four Indigenous teens in rural Oklahoma: Elora Danan (Devery Jacobs), Bear Smallhill (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), and Cheese (Lane Factor). After the fifth member of the Reservation Dogs died, the rest of the group stole, planned, and saved to live out his dream of going to California, a strange, mysterious, faraway place.

But after an excellent start to their crimes, including the famous theft of a Flaming Flamers chips truck, an old lady’s edible marijuana, and some low-level grand theft auto, the plan failed. The group broke up, and everyone went their separate ways. We’ll explain everything related to Reservation Dogs season 3 in this article.

Reservation Dogs Season 3 Cast

Reservation Dogs Season 3 Cast

Well, Reservation Dogs wouldn’t be the same without the main Res Dogs—Devery Jacobs, who plays Elora Danan, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, who plays Bear; Lane Factor, who plays Cheese; and Paulina Alexis, who plays Willie Jack—so it’s a safe bet that they’ll all be back for round three.

If that’s the case, we can possibly also expect the following cast members to come back:

  • Elva Guerra as Jackie
  • Sarah Podemski as Rita
  • Zahn McClarnon as Officer Big
  • Dallas Goldtooth as Spirit
  • Lil Mike as Mose
  • Funny Bone as Mekko

Mabel, Elora’s grandma (played by Geraldine Keams), died in the middle of season two, so she won’t be back for Reservation Dogs season 3. If Mabel does show up, it will probably be in the form of memories.

Who will Star in Reservation Dogs Season 3?

No big casting news has been made about Reservation Dogs season 3, but Devery Jacobs, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor, and Paulina Alexis will likely return. Sterlin Harjo told GQ, “How do we keep adding to the story while keeping the show the same and ensuring that everything keeps returning to our four reservation dogs?”

Harjo has also hinted that other characters will be back, which suggests that the story will continue in Oklahoma, even if not all four tribe dogs make it back from California. Harjo told Vulture, “I want to return the Deer Lady (Kaniehtiio Horn).” “I want that stuff about the supernatural to stay in the show.”

Harjo and Waititi also spent a lot of Reservation Dogs season 2 building up the community. They gave the aunties and Big (Zahn McClarnon) their episodes so they could be back. Some guest stars in Reservation Dogs season 2 were Marc Maron and Megan Mullally, which showed that new minor figures could also appear.

Storyline and Expectations for Reservation Dogs Season 3

Some episodes of “Reservation Dogs” are put together at the last minute by Sterlin Harjo and his team of writers, while other ideas are thrown out totally. “I wish I had a plan,” he said to Vulture. “It comes naturally to me.” With this writing in mind, Harjo hasn’t said much about Reservation Dogs season 3’s plot. Still, it helps him to know that people are waiting to hear what he says. “People are invested,” he said, “which gives us some leeway.”

At the end of Reservation Dogs season 2, enough questions are left open to start Reservation Dogs season 3. The Rez Dogs finally make it to California, where Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) says he’s not returning to Oklahoma. Bear, Elora (Devery Jacobs), Cheese (Lane Factor), and Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis) might be stuck on the West Coast for a while because they don’t have a car.

This means that at least some of Reservation Dogs season 3 will occur in California. Back in Oklahoma, there are also many untold stories, like what will happen to Elora’s new house, whether Jackie (Elva Guerra) will go back to the city, or whether Uncle Brownie (Gary Farmer) will continue his spiritual journey with William Knifeman (Dallas Goldtooth).
