Best Deals on MacBooks Right Now

MacBook

With a variety of configurations and models to pick from, including those with Apple’s new M1 CPU, getting a good price on a MacBook or Mac Mini isn’t difficult, especially with Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching.

We’ll go over the current discounts for the latest MacBook models, as well as any Mac Mini offers that are currently available. Of course, earlier Intel-based systems — which are compatible with the recently released macOS Monterey — are frequently discounted, and we’ll point them out when we discover them.

Alternatively, buying a refurbished Apple computer is another method to save money. All products in Apple’s refurbished store come with a one-year guarantee and discounts of 15 to 20% off the price of a new model. Best Buy and Amazon are two more places to shop for reconditioned MacBooks. For the time being, though, these are the greatest MacBook and Mac Mini deals available.

THE BEST MACBOOK AIR DEALS

Apple’s entry-level laptop is the MacBook Air. With a comfortable keyboard, good trackpad, and all-day battery life, it’s best suited for ordinary productivity work. For quiet, efficient performance, the most recent model uses the Apple-designed M1 processor and does not have a fan. It checks all the criteria in terms of performance and cost, which is why it’s our top selection for the best laptop in 2021.

The M1 CPU comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD in the standard MacBook Air. It usually costs $999, but it’s presently on sale for $900 at Amazon and Best Buy. The $1,249 512GB version is also on sale for $1,150 at Amazon and Best Buy in all three colorways, which is its second-lowest price to date. These offers may come and go quickly, but as the holiday shopping season approaches, we expect to see more.

THE BEST MACBOOK PRO DEALS

Apple announced a new M1 range of CPUs, as well as improvements to both the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, at its “Unleashed” presentation last month. Both devices come in a variety of configurations, but we haven’t noticed any notable discounts on any of them yet, except from Amazon’s $50 reduction on the 14-inch model. However, with the year’s biggest shopping extravaganza just around the way, anything is conceivable.

Our reviews of the new MacBook Pro series were overwhelmingly positive. These premium laptops are investments that we can wholeheartedly recommend, whether it was the stunning display or the outstanding performance and battery life they displayed. We recommend that anyone in the market for a new laptop consider acquiring one as soon as there is a price break on these outstanding laptops, since they are likely to sell out quickly.

The MacBook Pro with Touch Bar has more sizes and options than the Air, and it’s designed for more demanding use cases. The 13-inch M1-powered model is the entry-level model, with a brighter screen, longer battery life, and an integrated fan to keep performance up under heavy loads. The M1 MacBook Pro 13 is regularly $1,299, but Amazon has a roughly $200 discount on the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, bringing it down to $1,100. The larger 512GB model is also on sale at Amazon for $1,349, which is the lowest price it’s ever been.

Of course, you may still purchase older MacBook Pro models, such as the 13-inch model from mid-2020. The earlier Intel-powered laptop has four Thunderbolt connections, Windows bootcamp-ready Ice Lake processors, the current scissor-switch keyboard, more RAM, and different storage options. The 13-inch model is currently available on Amazon in a variety of configurations, including one with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB of storage for $1,999 and another with 1TB of storage and a 2.0GHz 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor for $1,500, which is over $500 off the original price.

The last-gen MacBook Pro 16 from 2019 is still on sale if you want a bigger laptop with greater horsepower, but it’s been outpaced in practically every category since the debut of the new MacBook Pros with the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs. The 16-inch variant with an Intel Core i9 CPU and 1TB of storage is still available for $2,299 at Best Buy. Deals are few and far between outside of that.

THE BEST MAC MINI DEALS

The Mac Mini is a cheap desktop computer running macOS that isn’t an Apple laptop. It doesn’t come with a display, keyboard, or mouse (so you’ll have to buy those separately), but if portability isn’t a concern, this little machine is a great performer. It’s quick and efficient, and it’s equipped with Wi-Fi 6.

The MacBook Mini, like the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13, is powered by Apple’s new M1 CPU. It starts at $699 and goes up from there depending on your RAM and storage choices. The best deal on the base Mac Mini can be found at Amazon, where the 256GB model is $649 and the 512GB variant costs $750. The 512GB variant is also available for the same price at Costco, but no other shop is giving the deal.
