The once-celebrated rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs faces accusations of leading a horrific gang rape of a woman in an Orinda apartment in the Bay Area. News Media discovered this accusation in a lawsuit, and TMZ broke the story first.
The allegations, part of a detailed 63-page lawsuit, point to Combs and his associates, including his friend Shane Pearce, as responsible for the brutal assault.
The lawsuit claims the attack occurred in retaliation for comments the woman made about Combs’ rumored involvement in the 1996 murder of Iconic rapper Tupac Shakur. The disturbing case has captured the attention of the public, casting a shadow on Combs’ legacy.
Events Leading to the Alleged Assault
The chain of events began in February 2018 when the woman met Shane Pearce, a friend of Combs, at a bar. According to the lawsuit, Pearce intervened in a conflict between the woman and another patron, and afterward, he attempted to impress her by calling Diddy via FaceTime. When the woman made a comment about Diddy’s alleged involvement in Tupac’s murder, Combs reportedly became enraged, telling her she would “pay” for her comments.
One month later, on March 23, 2018, the woman visited Pearce at his apartment in Orinda, about 15 miles from San Francisco. Arranged to assist Pearce with his cancer medication, the visit took a dark turn. The woman claims that after a drive, Combs arrived at Pearce’s apartment with an entourage and in a manner that suggested he was “ready to party.”
Alleged Assault and Threats
Once inside, the lawsuit describes an alarming scene. Combs allegedly pressed a knife to the woman’s face, threatening her with a “Glasgow smile”—a disfiguring cut from the corners of the mouth to the ears. A woman named Kristina Khorram, also part of Combs’ group, allegedly stepped in, discouraging him from following through, saying they might “sell” the woman to “clients” in the future.
The atmosphere reportedly became more threatening, with Khorram making further intimidating statements about shipping the woman “anywhere in the world” where she would never see her family again. The plaintiff claims that shortly after, Combs, Pearce, and two unidentified men left her alone in the room and violently raped her.
Drugging and Aftermath
Khorram allegedly opened a bag of drugs after the assault, and Combs allegedly forced a pill down the woman’s throat. Later, as the lawsuit details, the woman found Combs and Pearce in the backyard. Diddy allegedly expressed surprise that she could still move after receiving “enough drugs to take out a horse.” He reportedly offered her money, claiming the rape was consensual and labeling her as a sex worker. Threats against her family followed her refusal, including a chilling moment when one of the unnamed men allegedly showed her a livestream of her sister’s home.
Combs then phoned his mother, attempting to use her to convince the woman to take the money and avoid involving the police. When the woman informed Combs’ mother about the rape, she was reportedly “unphased.”
A Desperate Escape and Gunfire
As tensions escalated, a physical altercation occurred between Combs and one of the unnamed men, resulting in a gunshot. The lawsuit describes a chaotic scene in which the woman, armed with a concealed knife, slashed Combs and fled the apartment, screaming for help. One of the men pursued her, claiming to be an undercover officer, although the lawsuit doesn’t clarify the veracity of that claim.
Once again, there was gunfire, and the group fled in an SUV before the police could arrive.
Law Enforcement’s Response
The lawsuit claims that despite the woman’s disclosure of violent rape, a Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office deputy failed to provide her with medical assistance or assist in retrieving her belongings when they arrived at the scene. The sheriff’s office later issued a statement saying they had thoroughly investigated the allegations but found the claims “unfounded.
The woman spent the night in a state of shock at Pearce’s apartment before returning home the following day. Initially, she did not report Diddy’s involvement to the police out of fear.
Ongoing Trauma and Legal Action
The lawsuit alleges that Combs exploited his power and connections to coerce sexual acts through intimidation, manipulation, and physical threats. After years of therapy, the woman’s trauma resurfaced in March 2024, when news broke of multiple civil suits against Diddy and a federal criminal sex trafficking investigation. This prompted her to seek legal counsel and file the current lawsuit.
The woman is now seeking a jury trial against Combs, Pearce, and the other individuals allegedly involved in the assault, including Khorram. The lawsuit posits that those around Combs could have prevented his predatory behavior and enabled his 30 years of alleged abuse.
Diddy’s Current Legal Situation
At present, Sean “Diddy” Combs is in federal custody in Brooklyn, facing charges related to sex trafficking and other serious offenses. The lawsuit accusing him of orchestrating the gang rape in Orinda adds another troubling chapter to his legal battles.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the woman at the center of this case is seeking justice for the traumatic events she endured. Her lawsuit brings forward new allegations against Diddy, further tarnishing the former hip-hop mogul’s reputation.
The outcome of this case, along with Diddy’s other legal troubles, will be closely watched by the public as victims continue to speak out against the abuse and exploitation they allege to have suffered at the hands of powerful figures.
