This weekend at Coachella, Kesha made an unexpected cameo alongside Reneé Rapp, but there was a difference.
In her well-known 2010 song “Tik Tok,” Kesha altered a line that made reference to Sean “Diddy” Combs.
She sings, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” in the original lyrics. She and Rapp, however, amended that at Coachella to “Wake up in the morning like f*** P. Diddy.”
Kesha also posted a picture of the occasion and her feelings on her verified Instagram account.
In five different cases filed in recent months, Combs has been accused of sexual assault, an accusation he has always refuted.
A Department of Homeland Security unit that deals with allegations of human trafficking, according to a senior federal law enforcement official briefed on the investigation, conducted searches on two of Combs’ properties last month as part of a federal investigation.
A protracted legal dispute between Kesha and her former producer, Dr. Luke—whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald—was resolved in 2023. She had accused Gottwald of drugging her, emotionally abusing her, and sexually assaulting her, and she was attempting to terminate her recording contract.
Gottwald vehemently refuted the accusations, filed a countersuit alleging defamation and breach of contract against the singer, but no criminal charges were ever brought against him.
He concluded their protracted court dispute by saying in a statement, “I never drugged or assaulted her and would never do that to anyone.” “I have been fighting hard to clear my record for almost ten years, all for the sake of my family. It’s time for me to move on from this challenging situation and resume my life.
