August 14, 2025, marks the birthday of Sukanta Kundu, also known to readers and the literary community as Sukanta Parthib. A name that resonates across the worlds of digital media, entrepreneurship, literature, and digital marketing, Kundu’s journey from a small town in Bangladesh to becoming an internationally recognized leader is nothing short of inspiring.
Born on August 14, in Dupchanchia Upazila, Bogura, Sukanta Kundu grew up with a deep curiosity for words, ideas, and the power of communication. His early education in Bogura and later at Dhaka College set the stage for his intellectual pursuits. Later, at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), he honed his skills in communication, journalism, and digital strategy.
Under the visionary leadership of Sukanta Kundu, Editorialge Media LLC has evolved from a digital media platform into a multifaceted global brand in 5 years. Driven by innovation and inclusivity, Editorialge’s new ventures reflect a bold commitment to expanding access to quality content, services, and learning across the world.
Recently, Sukanta Kundu underwent three major spinal surgeries in India that posed a serious risk to his life. The underlying cause—a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak—had remained undiagnosed and untreated by his previous neurosurgeon. Over time, this complication led to a severe infection at the surgical site. His family had to deal with the toughest time sitting anxiously in Bangladesh.
Faced with a critical 50/50 chance of survival, Dr. Neeraj Gupta, senior consultant and famous spine surgeon at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC), took on the case with exceptional courage and professionalism. He assembled a comprehensive medical board comprising leading neurosurgeons, neurologists, endocrinologists, orthopedic specialists, and internal medicine experts to ensure every aspect of the treatment was addressed with precision and care.
Thanks to this multidisciplinary approach, Sukanta was given what he describes as his “second life.” In a video interview, he expressed his deep gratitude, stating that after God—whether one calls Him Bhagwan or Allah—Dr. Neeraj Gupta holds a divine place in his life.
Credit is also due to Aushnik Das, Acting CEO of Editorialge Media LLC; Koushik Roy Chandan, brother-in-law; and Nibedita Kundu, niece of Sukanta Kundu, for their valuable support during this challenging time. Special acknowledgment is extended to Barsha Nag Bhowmik, former senior journalist at The Times of India, and Dr. Mukul Verma, an award-winning senior neurologist of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, for their noteworthy contributions.
On his birthday, Sukanta Kundu sends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took care of him on his second life journey.
Mr. Kundu’s efforts have earned him prestigious international recognition. In early 2024, he became the first Bangladeshi and Bangalee to receive the CXO 2.0 Conference Outstanding Leadership Award in Dubai. After coming back from the treatment, he received the APAC Insider’s CEO of the Year Award 2025 in London, further solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader in digital media.
Hence, he has not only achieved a second life but also gotten special recognition for his remarkable efforts with Editorialge Media LLC.
On social media, admirers, colleagues, and readers from around the world have been sending birthday wishes, celebrating not just a man but the movement he has sparked in Bangladesh’s digital media scene. A birthday party will be scheduled to be held in the evening. Families, friends, peers, and colleagues wish him well on his birthday.
As he marks this birthday, the occasion holds profound meaning and is very special not only for him and his family but also for the entire team at Editorialge Media LLC, who see his recovery as a remarkable blessing and a celebration of life.
Happy Birthday, Sukanta Kundu—may your journey continue to inspire for decades to come.
