The biography of Elon Musk, penned by journalist Walter Isaacson and scheduled for release on September 12, reveals that Elon Musk and Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, have quietly welcomed their third child.
This new addition to their family is a son named Techno Mechanicus, also known as “Tau.” Unfortunately, the biography does not provide further details about the child, such as the birth date or location. As of now, representatives for both Elon Musk and Grimes have not responded to requests for comment on this news.
Elon Musk and Grimes have a history of welcoming unique and interestingly named children. They first welcomed their son, X Æ A-12, later modified to X Æ A-Xii and affectionately called “X,” on May 4, 2020. Subsequently, they had a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, lovingly referred to as “Y,” in December 2021 through a surrogate. Interestingly, this happened three months after the couple publicly parted ways following a three-year relationship.
In a Vanity Fair interview from March 2022, where the birth of Exa Dark was revealed, Grimes shared that they had always desired to have three or four children. However, it’s worth noting that on the same day the article was published, the “Genesis” singer took to Twitter to announce yet another breakup between the couple.
In addition to his children with Grimes, Elon Musk is a father to six children from his previous marriage to Canadian author Justine Wilson. Their journey as parents began in 2002 when they welcomed their first son, Nevada Alexander. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Nevada passed away at just 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Following this heartbreaking loss, the couple celebrated the arrival of twins, Vivian Jenna Wilson and Griffin. It’s noteworthy that one of Musk’s twins, now 18 years old, has sought legal proceedings to change her name and gender and has expressed a desire to no longer have a connection with her father, as revealed in court documents.
The family continued to grow when Wilson gave birth to triplets named Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006, adding to their brood just two years after the twins.
Interestingly, Musk’s family expanded once more when he secretly welcomed another set of twins, a son named Strider and a daughter named Azure, with Shivon Zilis in November 2021. These twins were born in Austin, Texas, just weeks before Musk and Grimes welcomed their own daughter.
