Overwatch 2, Gameplay Mode Guide

Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 is a fascinating multiplayer game presented in the genre of first-person shooter. This part is a continuation of the well-known Overwatch, the game features the usual PvP and also cooperative modes. One of the changes in PvP mode is that the teams are reduced from 6 people to 5.

The action in Overwatch takes place in the future on the planet Earth, after the robot uprising.

Hero classes

In the game, there are three classes of characters:

Damage: an attacking class of characters, that is the main weapon of attack in battles. These type of characters have great strength, through which they eliminate opponents, but this class of characters has a small amount of health, so they need help from tanks and supports.

Tank: Unfortunately, in Overwatch 2, every team can use only 1 tank, and now this already difficult role has become even more difficult. Tanks are responsible for the defense of the team and have increased health. The tank absorbs incoming damage, increasing the attacking characters’ win chances in game situations.

Support: Playing for these heroes may seem boring, but it is not true. The right skill at the right time plays a big role on the battlefield. The task of Support is to heal your teammates or give certain buffs that help kill opponents. You can use healing, anti-healing, buffs and debuffs.

Competitive Mode

The competitive mode in Overwatch 2 has undergone significant changes compared to the original game. Firstly, the ranking system has been completely redesigned. Players will not be able to gain any rank based on their previous achievements in Overwatch.

Instead, rank will only be determined after a player has at least 7 wins or 20 losses. Moreover, the usual SR (Skill Rating) system has been removed, and now a player’s score will be based not on the results of individual matches but on his overall game statistics.

In addition, in Overwatch 2, the competitive mode is divided into two separate queues: role-playing and open. In the role-playing queue, players are limited to a certain team composition, including one tank, two damage characters, and two support characters. In the open queue, players can choose any hero without restrictions.

How to get competitive mode

In Overwatch 2, new players will have to complete the “First User Experience” – winning 50 matches in a quick game to gain access to the competitive mode. This will allow them to gradually get used to the game and prepare for more serious competitions, but if you are ready to conquer the competitive mode and just do not want to waste your time, use the Overwatch boost service.

At the same time, players who already have experience with the original Overwatch and are playing on the same account will get access to the competitive mode right away. This gives veterans the opportunity to immediately start competing with other experienced players on an even playing field.

This approach balances gameplay for newcomers and veterans. New players get time to get used to the game, while experienced players can immediately get involved in the competitive part of the game.

Unranked Game Modes

There are several game modes in Overwatch 2. Each of them is different from each other, most of the modes are PvP, but there are also a few PvE quests.

Push

The task of the team is to accompany the robot, which pushes the barriers. To win in this mode, the team needs to bring the robot to the enemy base. It is also possible to win if one of the teams leads the robot further. If a team is able to capture a robot when reaching “Extra Time”, the game time stops until the team brings the robot to a control point, of which there are two in the game, or until the robot is left alone.

Control

This is a mode in which players need to first capture a point, and after successfully capturing the point, they will need to control it. The team that manages to keep control of the point for two rounds wins. But if there is a draw, teams play third round.

Escort

In order to win for the attacking team, you will need to masterfully escort an important cargo. But not everything is so easy because you will interfere with the defending team before time runs out. There are 2-3 chekpoints; on reaching these points, the timer increases and will also move spawn teams. Additional time in the mode is triggered if time expires while the attacking team is contesting the payload.

Hybrid

A unique mode that combines two game modes: “Object Control” and “Escort”. It all starts with the capture of the point and then continues with a difficult escort.

Flashpoint

The maps in Flashpoint mode are larger than in other modes. Teams fight for control of hotspots, aiming to capture three before their opponents. Three points must be earned to win. As soon as one is captured, the next one is activated. There are five points on the map, with the first one in the center. It takes 70 seconds to change the percentage value from 0% to 100%.

Clash

This mode will be added after the release of Season 11. In Clash mode, players will battle for control of five consecutive capture points, with the center point available from the start of the round. To win, a team will have to first capture the center point and then advance to take control of two points in enemy territory. During this time, the enemy team is forced to defend their position while simultaneously trying to counterattack and fight back. The winner is the team that first scores all five points or reaches the points limit for the round.

Arcade modes

Also in Overwatch 2, there are Arcade modes. This is an assortment of game modes, where each of them presents its own unique approach to battles and strategies.Overwatch 2 features the following arcade mods: No Limits, Standard play, Total Mayhem, Low Gravity, Elimination, 3v3 Elimination, 3v3 Lockout Elimination, 5v5 Lockout Elimination, Duels, 1v1 Mystery Duel, 1v1 Limited Duel,Capture the Flag, CTF Blitz, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Mystery Deathmatch, Bounty Hunter, Standart play with a twist, Workshop modes, Hero Gauntlet, Mirrored deathmatch, Event modes, Anniversary, Trivia. These modes are designed to enrich the gaming experience and arouse interest in different tactics and strategies. The most interesting ones are described below.

Capture the Flag

This is an exciting mode where each team has its  base, which  located in different corners of the map and each has one flag. The goal of this mode is to make a team effort to capture the enemy flag, but at the same time, you need to keep an eye on your flag because it can be captured by the enemy team, so you and your team will have to split up because one needs to take the flag from the enemy and the other needs to protect their flag.

In order to win, you will need to score three points before the opposing team, but if time runs out, you will need to score more points than the enemy team. The game will not end if either team’s flag is outside the base. If at the end of the main game or Extra Time the game is tied, in the sudden death round the flags will be moved a little closer to the opposing team, and the teams will only need to score one point to take the goal.

Mystery Heroes

One of the additions to the “Hybrid” and “Escort” modes is the “Mystery Heroes” mode. The difference between the mode and the above is that you are not given the choice of hero; the game does it itself after each death.

Overwatch 2 boosting

Most players may encounter problems when boosting rank in Overwatch 2. Ranked matches are a very difficult aspect of increasing the game rank. You may also face problems completing the battle pass. If you use the Overwatch 2 boosting service, you will pass selected levels of battle passes and get rewards. You can also increase rank.

This will help you reach your desired rank quickly and get all the rewards, what you want. Also, you will be able to save time and avoid the frustration of a long and difficult boosting process. By using these services, you will be able to focus on other aspects of the game, such as improving your skills and enjoying the gameplay.

Conclusion

We hope that the game Overwatch 2 has aroused your interest! Don’t forget that during the game, you can use Overwatch boosting, which will help you improve your rank and reach new heights. The game Overwatch 2 is happy for every new player because the more players in the game, the more fun it is.
