Nick Hogan, the son of legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, has broken his silence following the passing of his father, offering a deeply heartfelt and emotional tribute that has resonated with fans around the world. The WWE icon passed away last week at the age of 71, marking the end of an era in professional wrestling and popular culture.

Thanking Fans and Friends for Their Support

In an Instagram post shared over the weekend, Nick Hogan expressed his deep gratitude to those who reached out with messages of support after the tragic news of his father’s death.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and comforted me over the last few days,” he wrote. “It truly means a lot.”

Nick admitted that he had not yet been able to respond to everyone who offered their condolences due to being emotionally overwhelmed.

“I’m sorry to everyone I have not responded to yet. This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult.”

His message was accompanied by a series of touching photos showing various moments shared between him and his father throughout the years—from his childhood to adulthood—symbolizing their close bond.

“He Was My Hero”: A Father Remembered

Nick didn’t just mourn a global wrestling superstar—he mourned the man who raised him, mentored him, and stood by him as a father and friend.

“My dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero,” he wrote in the caption.

He went on to describe Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, as an exceptional parent who embodied love, strength, and guidance.

“He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world,” Nick added.

He emphasized that his father was not just a role model in the public eye but also a personal guide who played an instrumental role in shaping his values and life decisions.

“He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend.”

A Special Bond Strengthened by Time

Nick revealed that in the years leading up to his father’s death, their relationship had become even closer. A few years ago, he made the decision to move back to Florida—not for work or lifestyle, but specifically to be closer to his father.

“I made sure to thank him, told him how much I loved him, and hugged him every chance I got.”

This decision, Nick said, turned out to be one of the most meaningful choices of his life. It allowed him to spend quality time with his dad and create irreplaceable memories in the final chapter of Hulk Hogan’s life.

“I would do anything to have him back, but I know now that he will always be watching over me.”

Nick added that he plans to carry forward the lessons his father taught him and live a life that would make him proud.

“I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud.”

Public Fame, Private Family

While millions around the world knew Hulk Hogan for his wrestling persona—blonde handlebar mustache, bandana, 24-inch pythons, and catchphrases like “Say your prayers and eat your vitamins”—his children saw a softer, more grounded version of the man behind the Hulkamania brand.

From 2005 to 2007, the world caught a glimpse of that personal side on the VH1 reality show “Hogan Knows Best,” which featured Hulk Hogan, his wife Linda, and their children Nick and Brooke. The series documented the family’s everyday life and the challenges of balancing fame with parenting.

While the show had its dramatic moments, it also revealed Hulk Hogan’s strong attachment to his family, especially his children. Nick and Brooke both developed careers in the entertainment industry, with Brooke pursuing music and television, and Nick making occasional appearances in reality TV.

Hogan Family History: From Fame to Family Struggles

Hulk Hogan married Linda Claridge in 1983, at the height of his wrestling career. Their marriage lasted more than two decades, but by 2007, after several personal and legal struggles, they filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2009.

Despite the separation, both parents maintained relationships with their children. Hulk Hogan’s bond with Nick only appeared to deepen over time, especially in the years following his highly publicized personal and legal issues, including a tragic car crash involving Nick in 2007.

Nick’s journey since then has been one of reflection, growth, and a rekindled closeness with his father—a bond that became the cornerstone of his tribute.

Hulk Hogan: A Legacy That Goes Beyond Wrestling

Born on August 11, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, became a central figure in the golden age of professional wrestling. He was a six-time WWE Champion, a founding member of the nWo (New World Order), and a Hollywood actor with roles in movies like Mr. Nanny and No Holds Barred.

Hulk Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice—first in 2005 for his solo achievements and again in 2020 as part of the nWo. He is widely credited with popularizing wrestling in mainstream entertainment and was a household name throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Beyond wrestling, he became a pop culture icon, appeared on cereal boxes, talk shows, music albums, and inspired action figures and video games. His influence spanned generations, and his fans included people from all walks of life.

Tributes Pour In Across the Globe

Following the news of Hulk Hogan’s death, tributes flooded in from fans, former colleagues, and wrestling legends. WWE released an official statement honoring his legacy, calling him “one of the most iconic figures in WWE history.

Fellow wrestlers such as Ric Flair, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), and John Cena paid their respects, calling Hogan a pioneer who helped shape modern professional wrestling.

A Son’s Promise to Keep the Legacy Alive

Nick’s emotional tribute serves not only as a farewell but as a promise to preserve his father’s legacy by living with integrity, love, and strength—values his father taught him from a young age.

“He’ll always be my hero,” Nick concluded. “I’ll keep him in my heart and honor his memory every day.”

While fans remember Hulk Hogan as the larger-than-life superstar who filled arenas with cheers, Nick will always remember him simply as Dad—his greatest source of love, wisdom, and strength.
