Cristiano Ronaldo Returns from Covid-19, Scores Twice in Juventus Win

Cristiano Ronaldo was diagnosed with the Coronavirus while playing with Portugal’s national team. He had to stay in the isolation for more than two weeks. But that couldn’t keep him down. The Portuguese star has returned to the familiar rhythm. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored a couple of goals in the team’s easy win against Spezia.

Coach Andrea Pirlo did not take risks of putting Ronaldo in the first xi after two weeks as he was out of the field. He made a substitute for Paulo Dybala in the 56th minute of the second half. He scored the goal three minutes after the fall. Seven minutes later, another goal. 

The news of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Coronavirus infection before he was dropped against Sweden in the UEFA Nations League match on October 13. He then recovered from the Coronavirus infection last Friday.

With A 2-1 win over The Spanish side, the hosts were all out for 151 in their first innings. The team returned after a draw in the two matches played in the series. The nine-time champions have now moved up to a second place with 12 points in six matches.

Alvaro Morata, who was in the best mood, led the team in the 14th minute of the match. Weston McCain passed him even after he got the ball in the blank because of the increase of the saints. The Spanish forward made no mistake in getting the ball in the empty barpost. Spethsia returned to parity in the 32nd minute. Tomaso Pobega shot from the right edge with a superb shot from Paulo Bartolomei’s pass.

Ronaldo caught a three-pass from Morata in the 59th minute and also cut two defenders and the goalkeeper into the net. The team extended the gap in the 67th minute. Adrian Rabiot, who had hit a defender in the d-box with the left edge, beat the goalkeeper. Ronaldo scored his second goal from the spot-kick in the 76th minute. The referee played the penalty when he fouled Federico Chiesa in the D-box.
