The series Carnival Row has been renewed for a second season in July 2019, a full month before it airs on Amazon Prime Video. As a result, fans were hoping that a second part would be available soon. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the filming of Carnival Row was postponed for a while.

Production on the second season began in November 2019 but had to stop in early March 2020 due to the pandemic. Filming was completed in August 2020 in the Czech Republic.
